Starting a business means knowing how to get it off the ground. First you need to plan, budget and advertise, after all this things should start falling right into place. I recently decided to look for other places that listed “used concession trailers” just to see what my type of competition was and I hit the pot of gold.
Over at Business.com I discovered a whole bunch of different types of trailers. They’ve got trailers listed by state, city, county, food and of course everything in between. This made me want to have mine listed on it, after all there had to be others like me searching for the same thing.
By seeing what else is out there it opened my eyes to the possilbity of what I could have and began running other tests. For instance, how much did each of these sale for? Would it be worth buying flipping? Could I make my used trailer into one of these others? I immediately went to the internet and typed in upcoming holidays and discovered our local town was having a summer fair which would be perfect for a “snack trailer.” I had to get listed and put on the roster, pay a few fees and register with the state. After that it was all about stocking up my inventory and making prices. I can’t wait to roll my trailer into the school fair and watch that register fill up.
