I have to say that my husband and I were really lucky when we decided to start a family. We were both financially responsible and we had cleared up all our debt so that we could start things fresh when the new one arrived. I was also able to stay at home and we did not need another income. I was lucky enough though to get some straight talk from professionals about starting a home business. I wanted something else for myself and although we were not dependent on the income it sure was nice to bring in a supplement and I had a paying job again.

It absolutely scares me what is going on in the world today. Not only is our United States economy collapsing but it seems like we are bringing the rest of the world with us. My husband is deployed and our family depends on that monthly income every month but now I am worried if my bank will even be in business next month when the check comes in. I am now thinking in terms of what I can do in starting a home business so I have control over some of the finances in this collapsing economy. I have to know where the money is coming and where it can go for safe keeping.
