A blended mixture of gasoline and ethanol can fuel almost all existing vehicles, even those considered as hybrids.

6. Since the livelihood of farmers who produce the crops for manufacturing ethanol get boosted with ethanol use, the country also benefits ultimately. Instead of strengthening the financial muscle of foreign oil-producing companies, using ethanol strengthens the economic muscle of the country as a whole.

7. Most of the foreign exchange reserves are drained for importing huge quantities of crude oil from major oil-producing countries and if ethanol and ethanol blends are used, this dependence can be reduced.

8. The main ingredients that are used at present for producing ethanol are corn and sugarcane. Research is being continuously conducted for using almost anything to produce it. Very shortly, it is expected experts will confirm that unusable crop waste can be the ideal ingredient for producing ethanol.
